SHV - S03E10 - Jason X (2002)

The Long Summer At Camp Blood comes to an end on this week's episode with a trip into space! The Seeking Human Victims crew has 2002's Jason X on the autopsy table this week as we wrap up our 10 part series on the original "Friday The 13th" franchise. We talk about Kane Hodder's final performance in the role of Jason and examine the lasting impact he had on the character, all the backstory and production history of the film, plus we give our final top 10 rankings of the franchise and much more.  

SHV - S03E09 - Jason Goes To Hell - The Final Friday(1993)

Season 3 - A Long Summer At Camp Blood continues with episode 9 - "Jason Goes To Hell - The Final Friday". Dan & the gang tackle one of the most polarizing entries into the franchise to date in a Friday film that has very little Jason and very little hell but does in fact have a bizarre body jumping storyline, the final appearance of Kane Hodder, and some fantastic gore effects from KNB studios. We also had a 23 year old director, who was a huge fan of the franchise directing his first film and had all of the energy and creativity of youth, but also the inexperience and carelessness that comes with it. All of these ingredients made for a lively discussion to say the least and whether you love or hate this movie, this episode will have something for you.

The "Long Summer At Camp Blood" takes a field trip! A luxury cruise, a visit to Times Square, and a slimy undead mass murderer meet and hijinx ensue. The Friday The 13th Franchise closes out the 80s with a film that is a lot of things, but no matter how you feel about it is ultimately unforgettable. Join us as we explore toxic waste, trash can water, and uppercut decapitations with Friday The 13th Part 8 - Jason Takes Manhattan.

Season 3 - The Long Summer At Camp Blood is back with a look at the film where Jason was finally given an opponent who could hold her own with him in Friday The 13th Part 7 - The New Blood, starring Kane Hodder, Lar Park Lincoln, and more. Learn how this film was sadly butchered by the MPAA, moreso than maybe ANY other Friday film and it STILL is a crowning achievement in special effects for the franchise thanks to the masterful direction of the late, great John Carl Buechler. We also briefly discuss Friday The 13th - The Series, which debuted between parts 6 and 7, and we're joined in the studio by indie pro wrestling legend "The Strong Style Psycho" Tank.

The Long Summer At Camp Blood takes us to Crystal L...uhh I mean Forest Green. Yeah, that's it. Join us for a deep dive straight to the bottom of the aforementioned lake. Paramount's reaction film to the horrible critical and fan reception to part 5 is Friday The 13th Part VI - Jason Lives. Director Tom McGloughlin brings us a much more sleek and self referential look at the lore and we meet the fan favorite "Zombie Jason" for the first time.

SHV - S03E05 - Friday The 13th part V - A New Beginning (1985)

The Long Summer At Camp Blood continues with the one of the most controversial entries in the Friday The 13th, Franchise - Part V - "A New Beginning." We join an older Tommy Jarvis at Pinehurst home for wayward youth for one of the wildest times you can have with an imposter Jason. From an ax murder over a candy bar to those damned enchiladas, this is an episode you won't want to miss. 

SHV - S03E04 - Friday The 13th pt IV - The Final Chapter (1984)

Season 3 - A Long Summer At Camp Blood rolls on with episode 4 - Friday The 13th part IV, The Final Chapter.

On this episode we meet one of the most important characters in the franchise, Jason's arch nemesis Tommy Jarvis (played by Corey Feldman), see the reuniting of Tom Savini and director Joseph Zito (Check out our episode on The Prowler back in Season 1), and a very menacing Jason played by famed stuntman Ted White. We look at all the gory details of the on and off screen drama, and how this was anything but the "final chapter" and the complicated history of the many deaths of Jason Voorhees.
