"Flesh is a trap...and magic sets you free". Join us this week on Seeking Human Victims as we discuss the final directorial effort from Clive Barker (at least as of 2021), the genre bending, Scott Backula starring dark fantasy supernatural horror crime noir extravaganza known as LORD OF ILLUSIONS (1995) . We'll look at the introduction of the character Harry D'amour who became a recurring lead throughout Barker's books, a fascinating examination of the art of illusionists through death and resurrection, Famke Jensen in one of her best roles.. and of course all the crusty magical cult leader goodness.

The Clive Barker Terror Timeline continues with one of his most popular adaptations ever. This time we're digging back into the archives to bring you 1992's Candyman. This episode was originally featured back on Season 1"The Slashers", but it was also an essential piece of telling the story of Clive's film adaptations so we've dusted off and are giving it to you 100% free and we recorded a brand new intro discussing all of the developments in the world of Candyman since we recorded the original episode and with the new film now just a few months away (finally) there's been plenty to talk about.

This week we're looking at one of the most fascinating release, footage finding, remastering and re-release stories in horror history, Clive Barker's 1990 fantasy-horror epic, NIGHTBREED. Join us in our journey to Midian, the secret underground society where the monsters of the world have sought refuge from the horrors of man in one of the most ambitious and creative horror films of its time, or any time. We'll examine Barker's hopes that it would become the Star Wars of horror and the steps he took to make that a reality. We'll discuss Barker's continuing frustration with Hollywood completely failing to understand his concepts and how it took 24 years for Barker's true vision of the film to finally be released. All that and so much more! Available at Spotify, itunes and all major podcast providers.
