SHV - S13E08 - Pet Sematary (1989)

This week on an all new Seeking Human Victims, we journey to 1989 to talk about a film that captured the imagination of the country at that time by finding out that dead may in fact be...better. Its the adaptation of the story that Stephen King himself finds his most personal and terrifying...of course we're talking about Pet Sematary.

SHV - S13E07 - Maximum Overdrive (1986)

Join us for perhaps the most wacky ride of the season with the "zooted and tooted" Stephen King directorial debut (& farewell) about machines coming to life and going on a murderous rampage with 1986's Maximum Overdrive starring Emilio Estevez, Pat Hingle & more.  We'll talk about how King barely remembers the experience himself and is not a fan, the brutal critical reception, it's rise to cult status on cable & much more.

Plus musical guest "Gorged Afterbirth" appear courtesy of Horror Pain Gore Death Productions (horrorpaingoredeath.com) with the track "Only Dental Records Remain" off their upcoming March 11th album release "Got Gore?".

SHV - S13E06 - The Cat's Eye (1985)

This week we tackle our first anthology of Stephen King adaptations with 1985's The Cat's Eye, starring Drew Barrymore and directed by Lewis Teague. We'll talk about how all 3 segments exist on their own and also tie together to make a fun, EC Comics inspired film in the spirit of Creepshow produced of course by Dino De Laurentiis in Wilmington, NC.

We continue our journey into the Stephen King Terror Timeline with a young Drew Barrymore and what else...psychic powers! It's 1984's FIRESTARTER. We'll look at how it started as a John Carpenter project and retained some elements of that, but not many, the box office, critical reaction and more.
