SHV - S12E05 - Silver Bullet (1985)

Corey Haim on the cusp of blowing up, Gary Busey at the height of his powers, a buffet (literally) of amazing character actors and more are all contained within this week's episode as we talk the polarizing "Silver Bullet", which to some is one of the best movies ever adapted from the works of Steven King and to others, was a massive disappointment. Based on the King novella, "Cycle Of The Werewolf", the SHV crew will weigh in with a variety of opinions. Also this week our musical guest courtesy of HorrorPainGoreDeath.com comes to us from Albequerque, NM with their song "Separate" off the upcoming album "This Insidious Horror", is "FEED THE CORPSES TO THE PIGS".

SHV - S12E04 - The Company Of Wolves (1984)

This week on the show we look at a more fairy tale centric werewolf story, taking the mythology all the way back to its origins and giving us the first British werewolf tale in a few years with 1984's anthology-ish movie The Company Of Wolves directed by Neil Jordan (The Crying Game, Interview WIth A Vampire.) and starring Angela Lansbury & David Warner.

Plus, this week's musical guest comes to us from Houston, TX as gothic/doom metal mavens "Saviorskin" bring us the song "Breaking Point" off their 2020 album "Omnipotence Of The Absolute" courtesy of Horror Pain Gore Death Productions (horrorpaingoredeath.com)

SHV - S12E03 - An American Werewolf In London (1981)

This week on Season 12: Wolfamania, we wrap up our look into the year of the wolf, 1981, with quite possibly the most famous Werewolf movie of all time next to the original Wolf Man.  It's definitely the only other werewolf film to get full merchandising lines, action figure lines and even a spot at Universal Studio's Halloween Horror Nights. It is also the film that propelled special effects artist Rick Baker to superstardom and inspired the Michael Jackson, "Thriller" video. It won the fist ever academy award for special effects, is considered an all time classic and is some how still underrated. It is our distinct pleasure to bring you our official episode on John Landis' "AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON."

All that plus our musical guest, coming to us all the way from Mexico courtesy of Horror Pain Gore Death Productions, is the legendary death/thrash band Mortuary with their song "Holy War" from the incredible compilation record Death Metal Power From Beyond, available now at horrorpaingoredeath.com

SHV - S12E02 - Wolfen (1981)

Wolfamania continues with our look into the 2nd entry into the 1981 werewolf movie craze with a quite different take on that myhthology as we watch WOLFEN directed by Michael Wadleigh. We'll discuss how this pure horror meets crime drama hybrid packs a unique punch that sets it apart from its contemporaries, part of which is its embarassment of character-actor riches including the likes of Edward James Almos, Tom Newnan, Gregory Hines and Albert Finney.
